THE SCIENCE OF BEING WELL – BOOK REVIEW

From the office of Dr. Laurence Magne, author of Cancer Free For Life

As a researcher of alternative health methods for healing cancer and all diseases, I am always investigating what’s new and being discovered. However, this time, a tried and true secret of healing and maintaining health comes down from the ages, and the amazing book, “The Science Of Being Well” was written in 1910.

Wallace Wattles wrote all these years back in a style that is concise and to the point. His examples are clear and his philosophy is as current and actual today as it was almost a century ago.

Mr Wattles explains that health is based on our ability to Think in a Certain Way, which we have forgotten. There are Principles of Health that are simple for everyone to apply.

Much of the Principles of Health are under our control. We have control over the food we eat, how we breathe and how well we sleep. Yet these seems to be skills that we have mainly forgotten, as proven by the risen number of cancers and chronic diseases. Wallace Wattles explains with very clear examples how to Think in a Certain Way in order to erase disease from your life forever. Any disease! The Living Substance which is inside of all of us is available to you right now to reclaim your health.

Although he wrote some of the most powerful, life changing books ever written, unfortunately very little is known about the life of Wallace D. Wattles.

He was born in the United States in 1860, and experienced a life of failure after failure, until - in his latter years, after tireless study and experimentation - he formulated and put into practice the scientific principles he later wrote about in the books contained in The Science of Being Well.

It is not enough that you should have a general desire for wealth "to do good with"; everybody has that desire.

Wallace Wattles recommends that to attain Health, you must have that clear mental picture continually in mind, as the sailor has in mind the port toward which he is sailing the ship; you must keep your face toward it all the time. You must no more lose sight of it than the steersman loses sight of the compass.

You will be glad to know that it is not necessary to take exercises in concentration, nor to set apart special times for prayer and affirmation. These things are well enough, but all you need is to know what you want, and to want it badly enough so that it will stay in your thoughts.

He gives such advice as spending time contemplating your picture of Health, but no one needs to take exercises to concentrate his mind on a thing which he really wants; it is the things you do not really care about which require effort to fix your attention upon them. The best way is that the more clear and definite you make your picture then, and the more you dwell upon it, bringing out all its delightful details, the stronger your desire will be; and the stronger your desire, the easier it will be to hold your mind fixed upon the picture of what you want.

He goes into specific detail about the Principle: "Believe that ye receive them."

The whole matter turns on receiving, once you have clearly formed your vision. And from that moment he suggests that you must, in mind, receive what you ask for. Think and speak of what you have asked for in terms of actual happening. The whole Principle of Health revolves around faith and purpose in the use of the imagination which make the difference between the scientist and the dreamer. And having learned this fact, it is here that you must learn the proper use of the Will.

In a letter written to his publisher by his daughter, Florence, shortly after his death, Florence writes, "He lived every page ... His life was truly the powerful life."

Although very little is known about his life, I, like so many others who've studied and applied his scientific principles and detailed plans of action, am so very grateful he lived and wrote them down...

So will you!

One day I read something in one of Wallace D. Wattles' books, that helped me understand why it had taken me so long to find them. The reason? I simply wasn't ready to find them before this.

As I read, I realized it was necessary for me to go through all I went through in order to prepare me to receive them. And I realized instead of being angry, I should actually be grateful for all I'd gone through and that I found them when I did!

Why?

Because had Wallace D. Wattles' books appeared at any other point in my life, I'd most likely have either ignored them, or I'd have just read them quickly and then put them on my bookshelves, without ever studying and applying the wisdom they contain.

When I was finally ready, the right book appeared at exactly the right time - almost as if by magic!

Was that an accident?

I can assure you it wasn't!

Now, the only question is...

Are you ready?

You know the answer...
